Originally from Pennsylvania and now a proud Columbus, Ohio resident for over 13 years, Gretchen began her professional journey in the world of custom tailoring, working with Nordstrom, Men’s Wearhouse, and Dublin Cleaners before opening her own successful tailor shop in 2009. But in 2018, she was ready for a new challenge—something scalable, impactful, and financially rewarding without a huge startup cost. That’s when she discovered the notary signing agent profession, and she never looked back.

After becoming a notary, Gretchen started part-time and immersed herself in learning the business. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, she quickly recognized the essential nature of notarial work—and seized the opportunity. Within two months, she had outpaced her tailoring income, and by year’s end, she was operating at full capacity. That momentum led her to launch PROFormance Signings LLC, a national signing service that prioritizes professionalism, reliability, and top-tier training.

Today, Gretchen is a full-time notary, business owner, and dedicated trainer and mentor. She is deeply committed to providing ongoing, high-quality training for Ohio notaries, and her guidance has helped many build sustainable and profitable businesses of their own.
